540 FARM SPECIAL PLUS - Telescopic Handlers Strength plus power are combined in the Farm Special Plus models. Based on the market leading 530-70 and 540-70 Farm Special models from JCB these two new models offer increased power for the farmer who needs more pushing power and towing performance.   POWER AND TORQUE These new models utilise the 90.5 kW (121 hp) turbo intercooled engine and 300 mm torque converter used in the Farm Special Supers. Matched to a 4 speed JCB powershift gearbox. This engine and transmission package provides more power and more torque than standard Farm Special. The extra torque available gives increased tractive effort in all gears, resulting in high performance for loading and towing. MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE FOR THE MODERN FARMER As standard equipment all farm specials are fitted with high strength chassis and boom, deluxe cab, powershift transmission and JCB Q-fit carriage for easy change of attachments. Complimented by the extensive range of JCB factory fitted options, the Farm Special Plus can be specified with working lights, limited slip differential, windscreen guard, air conditioning, JCB Smoothride, Reversing Fan and tow hitches up to 10 tonnes towing capacity. With the Farm Special Plus working in the toughest loading tasks, silage making, muck handling, straw handling and root crop loading are all accomplished quickly, efficiently and effectively.
